Gulaab Jamun



Ingredients:

Milk Powder- 1 Cup
All Purpose Flour - 1/4 Cup
Unsalted butter (room temp) - 3 Tbsp
Baking Soda- pinch
Sugar - 1 3/4 Cup
Water- 2  Cup
Saffron -2-4 strands
Cardamom seeds ( Coarsely ground) - 2 Cardamom
Milk- 1/3 cup

Method

Syrup:

In a pan, add water , sugar, saffron and cardamom seeds and boil
Remove from heat when done

Dough

Mix milk powder, flour and baking soda.
Add butter and mix well
Use milk and knead dough and keep aside till it is soft.
knead again
make small balls of dough and fry till brown
Cool them off and soak in hot syrup
Let it soak for atleast 20 mins before serving


Atte ke laddu

Kaju+badam+Gond+Kismis - 1 cup
desi ghee - 1 + 1/2 cup
Aata - 2 + 1/2 cup
Sugar - 2 cups


Fry dry fruits in 1/2 cup ghee. Remove and keep aside
roast atta in ghee 
add 1 cup ghee + dry fruits+ sugar
mix
make laddu

Rasgulle

Ingredients

Milk - 1/2 lt
lemon juice - 2 tbsp
Sugar - 2 cups
Water for syrup - 4 cups
Water for cooling

Preparation

Rasgulla balls:

Heat milk in a pan and add lemon juice while boiling
Boil till the milk starts seperating
drain off the water in a muslin cloth
sqeeze the Chena inside muslin cloth tightly
pour water over the muslin cloth to cool the chena and remove traces of lemon

knead chena for 10 minutes making it soft
make small balls from chena

Syrup

Heat sugar and water in a pan and bring it to boil

Add boiling water and rasgulla balls in a pressure cooker ans cook in light pressure (without wistle) for 10 minutes

let it settle for 10 minutes
Cool the cooker by placing under running water
remove rasgullas and refrigerate till it is cool

Besan ka Ladoo

Ingredients:

Besan( chickpea flour) - 2 cups
Sugar (powdered) - 1 + 1/2 cups
clarified butter- 2 tbsp

Preparation:

heat 1 tbsp clarified butter in a wok and roast chickpea flour till you get the aroma.
remove from flame and ad sugar and rest of clarified butter
Mix well and remove any knots

Make small balls when still warm

Sliced Orange With Syrup

Sliced Orange is a tangy sweet and healthy dessert
Ingredients:
Oranges-2
Lemon-1
Sugar- 1 cup
water - 1 cup

Method:
Wash the oranges properly
Peel the outer layer of orange.

The outer layer of oranges will be used  for syrup, it should not have the white portion of orange peel.

Cut the peel in thin slices as shown below.


In a pan, pour the water and sugar.  Add lemon juice to it

Add the Orange peels to the pan and let it boil
Boil the syrup till the orange peel is soft
Remove the white portion of peel from orange

Slice the oranges and arrange in a plate


Biol the syrup till it is thick and peels are soft
Pour the syrup over orange slices

refrigerate for 20 minutes and eat cold.
